Severn Vale Art Trail
2-6 May 2024
Several members took part in the Art Trail and Christine and I tried to visit all of them. Our first visit was on Friday 3rd May.
First was Pauline Darley who didn’t appear in the photo but shows Christine admiring her work.
Also with Pauline was Marjorie Roper-Marshall
Next we visited Anne McAllister’s new studio above Hawkins Shop in Thornbury.
On Saturday we visited the Elms at Earthcott Green where we viewed the work of Caroline Stealey.
Heather Morgan’s wonderful batiks were next door. Sadly Heather wasn’t there but we enjoyed looking at her work.
Whilst at the Elms we looked at other artists’ work, a watercolourist, woodturner and upholsterer.
We moved onto Tytherington Village Hall to look at Diane Harrison’s work.
There were three other artists exhibiting there.
We moved onto the Clash Arts Space above Thornbury Motors.
Although Nicky Latham is no longer a member of the Art Club, she has been for many years.
Nicky’s art work is always thought provoking.
It was lovely to catch up with her and enquire about her mum Tricia, who is still very poorly.
Again we viewed the work of other artists.
Our final visit was to Karen Byrne and to look at her paintings and collages.
Well done to Thornbury Art Club Members who took part.
